BOOK REVIEW
Wow. Bucket Full of Stars is one of my favourite novels. Set in 1956 Tasmania, Australia, it brings to life the real hardships of the time. Living on an island with the toughest penal colony in Australia and a handful of free settlers is a tough place to be. That’s where we find Sheri and Molly plus some amazing, memorable characters. From the first page to the last page, it will keep you turning the pages. The characters are three dimensional and so very real. You will become emotionally invested in all of them. One of the things I loved about the story is that you feel that you know these characters so well and yet Penny has managed to spring a few surprises along the way. I LOVED that.
This is Penny’s first novel and it’s superb. I highly recommend it.
